Marinelli Not Happy with the Defense

Rod Marinelli was not a happy camper after the Cowboys' 31-28 win over the Giants

The Dallas Cowboys came away with a big division win on Sunday night, but defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli was not a happy camper in the visitors locker room afterward.

“I love winning,” Marinelli said, per the Dallas Morning News. “But I’m about execution. ... To me, it’s just mindset, getting ready to play and playing really hard.”

The Cowboys defense allowed 21 first half points, but held the Giants to a single touchdown in the second half. Afterward, a reporter asked Marinelli about the adjustments made by the defense at half.

“I don’t know if we figured anything out,” Marinelli said. “It’s about us, just tackling and doing the things we’re supposed to do. There’s nothing else to figure out.”
