Bowen entered the league as an undrafted free agent with the Cowboys in 2006

Longtime Dallas Cowboys defensive end Stephen Bowen has called it a career.

Bowen announced his retirement on Wednesday after 10 seasons in the NFL, and half of those in Dallas, per John Keim of ESPN.

An undrafted free agent out of Hofstra, Bowen joined the Cowboys in 2006 and stayed for five seasons, ultimately leaving as a free agent to join the Redskins in 2011. He stayed in Washington through 2014, before moving onto New York last year, where he appeared in 15 games for the Jets.

Bowen finishes his career with 176 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and a forced fumble.
