Lawrence Set to Return to Practice

It took a while for second-round draft pick DeMarcus Lawrence to get on the field for the Dallas Cowboys this season after he was injured in training camp.

And once he made his debut, it didn't take him long to return to the injury list as Lawrence was injured in the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Eagles and missed the win over the Bears last Thursday.

On Tuesday during a visit to Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Lawrence said he is set to return to practice on Wednesday and is ready to play on Sunday in the rematch two weeks in the making against the Eagles for the NFC East lead.

“I’m looking forward to going back out and playing football [Wednesday], getting back on the field,” Lawrence told The Dallas Morning News. “I’m really looking forward to the Eagles. It’s a big opportunity for us to capitalize on this playoff time. We just have to get back out there and be ready to go.”

The defensive end added that he feels "awesome," and the Cowboys would like to see him show it on the field by making Sunday night a headache for Mark Sanchez & Co.
