Lance Dunbar Free Agent Tour Moves on to Chicago

Dunbar has already had visits with the Seahawks and the 49ers

The Lance Dunbar free agent tour moves on.

On Wednesday morning, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Dunbar would be in Chicago for a visit with the Bears. He has already visited with the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers, a swing that showed teams are aware of what Dunbar can bring to the table.

David Moore of the the Dallas Morning News explained the interest, and what could hold that interest up, on an episode of SportsDay DFW’s “Ballzy” podcast recently.

"I think it shows you what a special player he is and how he brings an element to an offense that there isn't a lot [of] out there right now,” Moore said. “The question with Lance going in is coming off the major injury. It's a little unclear right now if what, if anything, he's going to be able to do in training camp. I think these other teams are just trying to get an idea where he is physically and when he would be able to contribute.”

Dunbar had 21 catches for 215 yards over four games as a sort of pass catching-specialist out of the backfield in 2015, until he tore his ACL and MCL in a loss to the Saints in October.
