Kyle Wilber Signs, Leaving Mo Claiborne As Only Unsigned Draft Pick

Fourth round pick Kyle Wilber signed his rookie contract on Thursday

A source in contact with the Dallas Morning News on Thursday confirmed that outside linebacker Kyle Wilber, a fourth round selection out of Wake Forest in April’s draft, had signed his rookie deal. With the deal, the Cowboys have officially brought six of their seven draft picks into the fold.

The only holdout remaining is first round pick Morris Claiborne, though perhaps “holdout” is the wrong word to use here. Both sides, Dallas and Claiborne (and agent Bus Cook), have said in the past few days that the negotiations were going smoothly--that only a few details in the language of the deal had to be ironed out.

I’m not worried about that right now,” Claiborne said of his deal, per the Morning News. “Everything that I’ve been hearing has been going good, so right now those guys are the professionals out there. I like to be knowing what’s going on but I leave it up to them and let those guys handle that.”
