Joneses Want to Bring Draft to AT&T Stadium

The NFL is reportedly considering moving the NFL Draft from NYC as early as next year

The minute we heard reports last week that the NFL was considering sending the Draft on the road as early as 2015, we thought of Jerry Jones.

Jones has made his baby, AT&T Stadium, into a hub for major sporting events. JerryWorld has hosted the NBA All-Star Game and the NCAA Men’s Final Four, and it will play host to the NCAA Football National Championship next year. Naturally, Stephen Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan this week, the Jones family would like to add the NFL Draft to that list if the league does in fact move the event from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

As you can imagine, we like the idea,” Stephen Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “Anything that we can do at AT&T Stadium for our fans, give them a more up close and personal look at, I think would be a plus.

“I think it’s something that the league is seriously taking a look at. They’ve actually looked at making it multi-locational in terms of doing a day in New York and a day in another city, something like that. There’s a lot of things being discussed. At the end of the day, we’re trying to make our game better for our fans, and that includes all aspects of it. Certainly, we want our fans to be able to get up close and personal looks and I think looking at something like this is something that our fans might enjoy.”
