The bad news is the NFL Lockout is on and threatening to shorten if not cancel the 2011 NFL season--the good news is that this won’t cause Dallas Cowboys’ owner and general manager Jerry Jones to miss the wedding of his franchise quarterback, the always dashing Tony Romo.
Jones told reporters on Wednesday that he planned to attend the ceremony this Saturday, with “special permission” from the NFL.
"I've gotten special permission," Jones said, per ESPN Dallas. "But more than anything, [I got the] right ticket from him and his fianceé -- Romo's wife-to-be. [It's] one of prettiest invitations I've ever seen.
"So, yes, I will be there and [I'm] proud for him. He's got the best end of this deal."
Unsurprisingly, the wedding is expected to be rife with Cowboys. Romo sent invitations to most of, if not all of his teammates, and a good deal of them are expected to attend without the requirement of any special permission. After all, there will probably be an open bar.
