Johnson Predicts Playoffs For Dallas

Jimmy Johnson won two Super Bowls with the Cowboys in the early 1990s

Former Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson (apparently) predicted that the Dallas Cowboys would make the playoffs in each of the past two seasons. Of course, two 8-8 seasons later, we know he was wrong, but that’s not stopping the two-time Super Bowl winner from predicting a playoff appearance for Dallas in 2013.

Johnson was asked by the DC Fanatics Blog on Twitter, via the Dallas Morning News, “Do the Cowboys make the playoffs in 2013?”

His response, sic, was, “been saying yes last few yrs...same.”

Obviously, we hope Johnson is right here. We’d imagine that current head coach Jason Garrett hopes his predecessor is correct as well because, Jerry Jones’ votes of confidence aside, we can’t imagine Garrett hanging around much longer if the team remains stuck in football purgatory in 2013.
