John Garrett Stays In Dallas

John Garrett will remain with the Dallas Cowboys in the role of passing game coordinator, the Dallas Morning News reported over the weekend.

Garrett, the brother of head coach Jason Garrett, who will retain offensive coordinator duties, had interviewed for the Miami Dolphins’ offensive coordinator vacancy last week. He had served as the Cowboys’ tight ends coach since 2007, after a three-year stint as wide receivers’ coach for the University of Virginia.

Before that, Garrett worked with the Cincinnati Bengals, both as tight ends coach and scout, and the Arizona Cardinals, as quarterbacks coach.
