Jerry Will Be Patient With Buehler

Another week, another missed field goal for the Dallas Cowboys placekicker project, David Buehler. Buehler actually went two for three on the day, but missed on a potentially game-tying 44-yarder, when Dallas was down 20-17. And it wasn’t really even close.

As of now, Buehler is two for four on field goal attempts on the season. Veterans Matt Stover, Kris Brown and John Carney are still on the market. But owner Jerry Jones isn’t all that interested and, beyond that, he’s not all that worried about Buehler to this point. Which is fine, we suppose, but it won't likely assuage the worries on the part of fans.

"My intuition is to be real patient there," Jones said, per the Dallas Morning News, after Sunday’s loss.

So, why is he going to be patient?

"Because I want to," Jones continued. "That's what my instincts tell me."
