Jerry Not Talking About Rod Marinelli Rumors

It's been rumored that Cowboys defensive line coach Rod Marinelli might follow Lovie Smith to Tampa Bay

When it comes to the rumors that defensive line coach Rod Marinelli might follow his old friend (and new Buccaneers head coach) Lovie Smith to Tampa Bay, mum’s the word for Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

In an interview with 105.3-FM The Fan on Friday, Jones offered little other than to remind his hosts that Marinelli is under contract with Dallas through the end of next season.

We don’t get into any of those kinds of things, communicate between clubs about interviews or requests,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “As you well know in the NFL, we’re pretty strong with our agreements between each other, between the players and the teams and the coaches and the teams. Only under certain exceptions would you get involved with a coach you have under contract for an interview.”
