Jerry Jones Expects Austin To Play Against Arizona

Miles Austin has missed the team's last three games with a hamstring injury

For what it’s worth, Jerry Jones is optimistic that Miles Austin will return for next Sunday’s match-up with the Arizona Cardinals in the desert.

In his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan today, Jones was asked if he expects Austin, who has missed the team’s past three games with a hamstring injury suffered against Seattle on November 6, to play.

I do, yes,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “But I don’t know because I saw him yesterday and he was moving around real well, said that he thought he could go Sunday, but we’ll see how this week goes along. We don’t want to push that because we have a lot of football ahead of us, but by the same token, we could sure use him. We’ve missed him.”

The Cowboys have rolled off three consecutive wins in Austin’s absence, but there’s little doubt that his return will give a boost to the offense. Before going down against Seattle, Austin posted 28 catches for 403 yards and four touchdowns.
