Jerry Jones Didn't Burst Into The Locker Room At Halftime, After All

Jen Floyd Engel of FoxSports.com penned a report following the Cowboys’ 20-7 preseason loss to the Chargers stating that, at halftime of that game, the Double J himself made his way down to the Cowboys’ locker room to raise a fuss over the yardage being allowed by the defense.

Now, that sounds kind of crazy. An owner entering a locker room at halftime to complain about what’s going on in a preseason game, well after the starters have been pulled from the game--yeah, crazy. Then again, we must admit that it sounds like something Jerry might do, if the circumstances (and, perhaps, whiskey) struck him just right.

But alas, according to the Double J himself, it is not true. Jones said in an appearance on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday that he didn’t enter the locker room until after the final whistle had sounded on the second preseason game.

“No. I didn’t go to the locker room at halftime on Sunday,” Jones told 105.3 The Fan. “I was in there after the ball game, but no, I did not.”

Well, that settles that.
