Jerry Hints That Jason Garrett Will Return in 2015

Garrett has the Cowboys in first place in the NFC East going into the final two weeks of the season

Dallas Cowboys owner won’t confirm that Jason Garrett will return as head coach in 2015, but he sure made it sound like that was the plan after Garrett led the team to a crucial 38-27 victory over the Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday night.

In fact, Jones hinted that the only reason he wouldn’t make a declaration now is because, as a rule, he doesn’t like to discuss contracts during the season.

"The only reason I'm not going to because I've said that I'm just not going to talk about his business," Jones said, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. "His business in this context is his contract. I'm just not going to talk about that. I haven't talked about it, and there’s no need to talk about it. We'll sit down after the season and take a look at how things are going.

"It's very obvious that he is doing very well and his hard work is paying off."

Garrett has yet to make the playoffs as head coach but, after Sunday’s win, he has the Cowboys at 10-4 and in the driver’s seat in the NFC East going into the final two games of the season.
