Jerry Heaps Praise on Jason Garrett the Motivator

Jerry Jones believes Jason Garrett is a master motivator

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been quick to heap praise on head coach Jason Garrett throughout the 2014 season, and he had more kind words for Garrett leading up to an important Thursday night matchup with the Chicago Bears.

Coming off a brutal Thanksgiving Day loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Jones believes Garrett is the perfect man for the job of getting the Cowboys in the right mindset to bounce back.

“I want to give Jason Garrett so much credit for his ability to communicate with this team and his communication ability,” Jones told 105.3-FM The Fan, per the Dallas Morning News. “One of the really top things that he’s done as a coach is get this team prepared through example coaching, motivation.

“I don’t get into motivating and wondering if we’re motivated or what the message is going to be this week. In this particular case, all you got to do is basically say, ‘Let’s just remind ourselves what we’ve done, from my perspective, the last three years we’ve been 8-8. We’ve won eight games right now. ‘Hello, let’s go.’”

It should be noted that, for all the praise, Jones still hasn’t put his money where his mouth is, so to speak, and offered Garrett a contract extension.
