The Dallas Cowboys are happy with their young defensive ends, a group that includes second round pick Randy Gregory, last year’s second round pick DeMarcus Lawrence and Greg Hardy. In fact, they’re so happy that they’re playing with the idea of moving last year’s sack leader Jeremy Mincey inside, to defensive tackle. Mincey’s just fine with that.
“These young guys are beasts. They’re doing a phenomenal job taking it all in,” Mincey told the team’s official website. “They take pride in their job and their working hard. We’re building a brotherhood. Taking some to my camp in Shreveport. Good way to keep them all together.”
Among an impressive group, Mincey has been particularly impressed by the rookie Gregory.
“He’s quick as a cat. Dude is quick and instinctive,” Mincey said of Gregory. “He might not have the most size or be the biggest guy, but he can torque his body like a rubber band. He’s like a walking human rubber band.”
