Jason Witten Announces Arrival Of Third Child

Witten broke the big news in a radio interview on Tuesday

The Witten clan got a little bit bigger this week.

Jason Witten and his wife Michelle welcomed their third child, a girl, on Monday night. Witten offhandedly announced the big news during his weekly appearance on the “BaD Radio” show on 1310 The Ticket.

“You try to keep the focus on football ... but I did have a busy last couple of days, my wife gave birth to our third child, a little girl, so there hasn’t been a whole lot of football going on here at the Witten household,” Witten said in response to a question about how he spends his downtime. “So we’ve been busy, and obviously, exciting times.”

Witten and wife already have two boys, C.J. and Cooper. He opted against making the baby’s name public on Tuesday, but said they did have a name. He mentioned as well that the baby came a little earlier than expected, but that everything went well.

“It worked out perfect,” Witten said, “and everybody is healthy and doing well.”

You can listen to the full interview right here--and we'd suggest it, because it's pretty entertaining. Witten announces the birth around the 7:30 mark.
