Jason Hatcher Misses Another Practice

It’s looking increasingly doubtful that defensive end Jason Hatcher will be available for this Sunday’s match-up between the Cowboys and the Patriots up in Foxboro. Hatcher missed another practice today with a calf strain, one of four players to be held out due to injury on Thursday.

According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas, fullback Tony Fiammetta (hamstring), kicker David Buehler (groin) and guard Derrick Dockery (knee) also missed the team’s workout at Valley Ranch.

Hatcher, who re-signed with the team this offseason, got off to a hot start before suffering the calf strain in week three against the Washington Redskins. As a starter this year, he has eight tackles and two sacks--both of which came in the team’s week two victory over the 49ers, the first multi-sack game of his career.

Hatcher was replaced in week four, and is likely to be replaced in week six if unable to go, by veteran Marcus Spears.
