Jack Crawford Back with Cowboys After Getting Work Visa

The London native missed the first week of OTAs as he waited on his new work visa

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jack Crawford is back in Dallas on yet another one-year deal, but his arrival at OTAs was delayed a little bit by some visa issues connected to the timing of that new contract.

Basically, though the London-native has been living in the United States for over a decade now, he couldn’t arrange for the new work visa until he had a new contract. That contract didn’t come until early April, after which Crawford scheduled and went through the interview. It was several days after that that he received his visa.

You have to go over there and schedule an interview over there once you have all your paperwork ready,” Crawford told the team's official website. “You just go home, schedule an interview and then you go to the U.S. embassy, and it’s pretty straightforward to be honest.”

Crawford arrived in Dallas last Friday, as the team was wrapping up their first week of OTAs.

“It worked out for me—probably as quick as I could do it. But it’s just very inconvenient time of year for me, because OTAs are starting,” Crawford said. “I didn’t want to miss OTAs, and now I feel like I’m behind trying to catch up, but it was alright. Everything worked out and went smoothly.”
