Herschel Walker Thinks RG3 Would Fit Well in Dallas

Robert Griffin III was released by the Redskins 10 days ago

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Herschel Walker believes all Robert Griffin III needs is another chance from a team that is truly behind him, and he thinks Dallas could be that team—at least based on the fact that, from a practical standpoint, they need a backup quarterback.

"RG3 just needs to find a team that believes in him," Walker told TMZ this week. "Once he does that, he'll be all right."

The TMZ reporter pressed Walker on possible landing spots, and that’s when he named his old team.

"I think RG3 would fit in well with the Cowboys," Walker said. "The Cowboys need a quarterback, and I think he would fit in well with them."

Griffin is now a full three years removed from that 2012 season that saw the then-rookie set the league on fire. He lost his starting job with the Redskins to Kirk Cousins last year and was released 10 days ago. The Jets and 49ers are among the teams with a reported interest in the former Heisman winner.
