Garrett: Tony Romo Making Progress, Still Not Throwing Much

It's been almost a month since Tony Romo suffered a fractured clavicle in a win over the Eagles

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is making progress in his recovery from a fractured clavicle but, predictably enough, he’s still highly limited in what he can do, a little less than a month after suffering the injury in the Week 2 win over the Eagles. Head coach Jason Garrett gave the media an update on the quarterback on Thursday.

He’s not at the point where he is throwing very much. I still think it’s a healing process,” Garrett told the team’s official website. “When you throw a football, you don’t only use your arm. You use your whole body. So he’s not there yet. But he’s doing conditioning. He’s keeping himself in shape.”

Of course, being on the injured reserve/designated for return list, Romo isn’t even eligible to practice with the team again until November 4. Of course, that doesn’t mean he’ll be ready to practice by then.

“Really just taking it day by day,” Garrett said. “Don’t want to make any of those decisions right now. I know he is making progress, though.”
