Garrett Rules Joseph Randle Out for Seahawks Game

Randle started each of the Cowboys' first six games

Not that it comes as much of a surprise at this point, but Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has been ruled out of the team’s matchup with the Seattle Seahawks at AT&T Stadium on Sunday by head coach Jason Garrett--who cited the oblique injury Randle suffered in the loss to the Giants, as well as a personal issue.

We don’t anticipate Joe playing this week because of his injury,” Garrett told the team’s official website. “He has to take care of this personal issue.”

On Wednesday, after learning that he’d lost his starting job to Darren McFadden, Randle left Valley Ranch. He returned on Thursday morning but didn’t meet with Garrett and Garrett, in turn, said Randle’s absence Wednesday was excused. It also came out this week that Randle is facing NFL discipline stemming from an incident at a Wichita hotel room this offseason.

“Don’t really want to get into that situation very much,” Garrett said. “The biggest issue with Joe is take care of the injury, get himself healthy and hopefully work though some of these personal issues.”
