Garrett Prepping for Reinvented Eagles

The Eagles have a new offense, a new defense and a new head coach this year

Jason Garrett is no stranger to facing the Philadelphia Eagles. But he is a stranger to facing these Philadelphia Eagles.

The uniforms will be the same when the two teams face off with the top spot in the NFC East on the line on Sunday, but that’s about all that’s stayed put over the last year. Gone is Andy Reid, replaced by Chip Kelly and his up-tempo offense, and the defense has moved to a 3-4 scheme.

For the Cowboys head coach, all the changes give the division matchup a decidedly different feel.

It is a little different,” Garrett said, per the Dallas Morning News. “Typically you would know your division opponents a little bit more. It feels a little more like another kind of game, a conference game or a game with an AFC team.”
