Garrett Not Worried About McClain's Commitment

Rolando McClain was signed by the Cowboys back on July 1 after sitting out of football in 2013

For obvious reasons, many folks have questioned Rolando McClain’s commitment to football.

McClain has retired from the game twice already, the last time coming after he was released by the Oakland Raiders, following three disappointing and very tumultuous seasons with the team, and signed by the Ravens. He never played a snap for Baltimore and was out of the game until the Cowboys traded for him in July.

Despite his past, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett says he isn’t worried about McClain’s desire.

"I have seen him practice," Garrett said of McClain, who’s working with the first team this week, per ESPN Dallas. "Now, he, like everybody on our team, has to do it again and again and again. He has some things that have sidetracked him here for a day or two throughout training camp. But obviously being out at practice playing play after play, day after day matters. So hopefully he will have a chance to do that starting again [Thursday]."
