Garrett Confident In Orlando Scandrick

It’s another week, and another different role for Cowboys’ cornerback Orlando Scandrick.

Scandrick started the season as the starting right cornerback, replacing then-injured Terence Newman, but suffered a high ankle sprain in the season opening loss to the Jets. When he returned after the bye week, he returned to his usual position, in the slot. Now, with Mike Jenkins likely out until December, Scandrick will step into the role of starting right corner.

The Cowboys believe Scandrick will be just fine in his new position.

Not a whole lot different,” head coach Jason Garrett said, of the difference between right and left corner, per ESPN Dallas. “Those guys are used to playing in different spots, particularly Orlando, who plays so much inside. He’s played inside. He’s played outside. He’ll probably have some comfort level wherever we line him up.”
