Felix Jones Auditioning for Eagles

Jones is an unrestricted free agent

Former first round pick Felix Jones is all but gone from the Dallas Cowboys, but he has yet to find a new team. He worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this offseason but came away from that visit without a contract offer.

Now, he’s reportedly auditioning for the Philadelphia Eagles, one of Dallas’ most hated rivals.

Jones is an unrestricted free agent and a five-year NFL veteran. He was taken No. 22 overall in 2008, and rushed for 2,728 yards on 569 carries while in Dallas. If it wasn’t already clear that Jones was going to be gone in 2013, Jerry Jones made it so on draft day when he picked up Oklahoma State running back Joseph Randle in the fifth round.

Now it appears that Randle will be the complement for starting running back DeMarco Murray.

"As we sit here today, I feel very good about where we are at running back," Jerry Jones said in a conference call with season ticket holders last week, per the Dallas Morning News. "I didn't feel that good before the draft."
