Fantasy Land: Week 11 Remembered

Matthew Stafford hadn't been right for a couple of weeks. He had been OK, but earlier this year, Stafford was better than OK and has consistenly been one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy play.

On Sunday against Cam Newton and the porous Carolina Panthers' pass defense, Stafford was in line for a big day.

And for a while, it looked as if he'd get stood up by the Panthers' rookie signal-caller.

Stafford threw two early interceptions and was in the negative in fantasy points throughout much of the first quarter. Then, he caught fire.

Stafford finished with 335 yards passing and five touchdowns to lead all fantasy scorers and should have another big game on Turkey Day against the Green Bay Packers.

As for goats, Wes Welker had the worst game of his career as a New England Patriot in the Pats' rout of the Kansas City Chiefs. Welker didn't record a catch until the fourth quarter and when he did his longest of the night was for 16 yards as he finished with two catches for 22 yards.
