Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 7

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Nick Foles, PHI, QB — Sorry, Cowboys fans, but this matchup is just too juicy. Sure, the Cowboys held RG3 down last week, but RG3 ain't really RG3 like we know him to be. But you're saying, wait a second, this is Nick Foles! That's true, he is the Eagles' backup, but he nearly threw for 300 yards and tossed three TDs against a pretty good pass defense in Tampa Bay and one of the game's best corners. If he did that against them, you have to wonder what he'll do against the Cowboys' secondary without DeMarcus Ware putting pressure on him.

Honorable mention: Jay Cutler, CHI (at WAS); Philip Rivers, SD (at JAC); Joseph Randle, DAL (at PHI); Hakeem Nicks, NYG (vs. MIN).

Dud of the Week

Russell Wilson, SEA, QB — This game is Thursday as the Seahawks go to Arizona to face a Cardinals defense that is nothing spectacular but definitely a different unit at home than on the road. The biggest issue here is that Wilson is playing on Thursday night, where quarterbacks have struggled all year with just a few days to prepare instead of the full week. Also, the Seahawks haven't really relied on Wilson to carry the offense, opting instead to use their workhorse running back Marshawn Lynch.

Honorable mention: Matt Ryan, ATL (vs. TB); C.J. Spiller (at MIA); Torrey Smith (at PIT); Andre Johnson (at KC).
