Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 7

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", who just so happens to be 0-6 in said league this year, Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Tony Romo, QB, DAL — Romo broke a long streak in Baltimore last weekend. Yeah, his team couldn't figure out how to execute a one-minute offense and couldn't kick a 51-yard field goal, but Romo did break a pretty impressive streak held by the Ravens. The Ravens' defense had gone 24 regular-season games without allowing a quarterback to throw for multiple TDs in a game, which he did. The road gets much easier on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers, who have let guys like Eli Manning, Matt Ryan and Drew Brees torch them this year. It's a safe bet to think Romo could be next in line.

Honorable mention: Andrew Luck, IND (vs. CLE); Felix Jones, DAL (at CAR); Denarius Moore, OAK (vs. JAC); Alfred Morris, WAS (at NYG).

Dud of the Week

Matthew Stafford, QB, DET — No quarterback in the NFL this year has gotten more junk fantasy points this year than Stafford, who was having a dreadful game on Sunday against the Eagles before a big fourth quarter made his line respectable. He just hasn't lived up to expectations this year, plain and simple. This week, he'll face the Bears in Chicago, which is a tough proposition considering the Bears defense has scored more touchdowns than they've allowed passing touchdowns. Yikes.

Honorable mention: Joe Flacco, BAL (at HOU); Mikel Leshoure, DET (at CHI); Brandon Pettigrew, DET (at CHI); Steve Smith, CAR (vs. DAL).
