Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 6

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

Michael Vick, QB, PHI — We've been dogging a lot on Vick this season, as he's been a turnover machine and hasn't lived up to his billing as a top-5 fantasy quarterback with serious dual-threat capability. So far, not so good. But look out. Vick has a favorable matchup against an awfully shaky Detroit Lions defense coming up and it could be a big week for him so get him in your lineup.

Honorable mention: Christian Ponder, MIN (at WAS); Rashard Mendenhall, PIT (at TEN); Vick Ballard, IND (at NYJ); James Jones, GB (at HOU).

Dud of the Week

Robert Griffin III, QB, WAS — Griffin is coming off a game in which he finally learned his lesson, at least that's what the Redskins and his fantasy owners hope. He was bound to eventually pay for running around like he was, and the time came for him on Sunday against Atlanta when he was knocked out of the game with a mild concussion. Word is, RG3 will play Sunday against Minnesota, who has a pretty nasty defense. Aside from the fact that he hasn't been SUPERSTAR-ish the last two weeks like he was before, he's coming off a concussion, which could be a shaky proposition for a quarterback. If you have to start him, do, but if you have a good alternative, go with it.

Honorable mention: Tony Romo, DAL (at BAL); Alfred Morris, WAS (vs. MIN); Steven Jackson, STL (at MIA); Pierre Garcon, WAS (vs. MIN).
