Fantasy Land: Studs and Duds, Week 14

A two-time champion in a hardcore keeper league, including some know-it-all media "experts", Adam Boedeker gives his fantasy expertise on a weekly basis.

Stud of the Week

DeMarco Murray, DAL, RB — This game is setting up a little too nicely for Murray. So much so, in fact, that it'll probably end up being one of those games Murray touches the ball nine times and gets you three fantasy points. But, the weather on Monday night in Chicago is supposed to be frozen tundra-ish, the Bears defense have been a gift to opposing running backs this year and Murray has been playing exceptionally well the past couple of games — doing it both on the ground and in the Cowboys' passing game. It could be a big night on national television for Murray, so ride with him.

Honorable mention: Maurice Jones-Drew, JAC (vs. HOU); Bears QB (McCown or Cutler), CHI (vs. DAL); Chris Ivory, NYJ (vs. OAK); Riley Cooper, PHI (vs. DET).

Dud of the Week

Colin Kaepernick, SF, QB — Kaepernick has picked up his play recently and has begun to resemble the QB that exploded onto the scene late last season and took the 49ers to the Super Bowl. But, this week's matchup against the Seahawks is a tough one. The Seattle defense is playing great at the moment, and Kaepernick could be without two starting offensive linemen. That's not a good combination.

Honorable mention: Frank Gore, SF (vs. SEA); T.Y. Hilton, IND (at CIN); Marques Colston, NO (vs. CAR); Andrew Luck, IND (at CIN).
