Ex-Cowboy Dan Connor Arrested in Philly

TSA agents reportedly found a switchblade in Connor's luggage as he went through security at Philadelphia International Airport

Former Cowboys linebacker Dan Connor was arrested Saturday after authorities found a knife in his luggage at the Philadelphia International Airport, multiple sources have reported.

According to the account over at NBCPhiladelphia.com, Transportation Security Administration agents discovered a switchblade during an X-Ray scan of Connor’s luggage as he attempted to get through security and into a terminal at around 9 in the morning local time. He was arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and released later in the day on his own recognizance.

Pat Hanlon, spokesperson for the New York Giants--with whom Connor signed after being released by the Cowboys this offseason--said the team has been in contact with the veteran, “who is cooperating with the authorities in Philadelphia.”

Connor was originally signed to a two-year deal with Dallas a year ago, after spending four seasons in Carolina. But after Connor balked at the team’s request that he take a pay cut, he was released. He signed with New York less than a week later.
