Dallas Cowboys' legend Emmitt Smith is scheduled to make an appearance at Bishop Dunne High School today, to announce the "Trip of a Lifetime" contest, open to all North Texas high school students, grades 9 through 12.
Students are asked to present--through essay, poem, song, video or other means--a response titled "My Lifetime Dream and How I Plan to Achieve It." The winner will be offered the opportunity to join Smith and his family in Canton, Ohio this August, as the NFL's all-time leading rusher is enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
"We want to find an ambitious young person with big dreams," Smith says, "and help show him or her how to make them come true."

On May 15, after a panel of judges has determined the ten best submissions, the finalists will be invited to the inaugural Emmitt Smith Celebrity Invitational Golf Tournament at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney.
The winner will be announced by Smith that afternoon.
