Dwayne Harris Signed To Cowboys Practice Squad

Just a day after being cut by the Cowboys to make room for guard Daniel Loper, Dwayne Harris has returned to the team as a member of the practice squad after clearing waivers.

A sixth round pick out of East Carolina, Harris did not catch a pass as a member of the Cowboys active roster, but returned 11 punts for 73 yards through five games, an average of 6.6 yards per return.

Harris impressed coaches in training camp and the early part of the preseason with his athleticism and playmaking abilities, but in the regular season, the potential seen in Harris never really materialized. Nonetheless, it’s clear that Dallas didn’t want to lose him altogether if they didn’t have to.
