Dwayne Harris Has Shoulder Surgery

Harris was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week twice in 2013

Cowboys receiver and return man extraordinaire Dwayne Harris underwent shoulder surgery toward the end of last week, according to ESPN Dallas.

Harris had nine catches for 80 yards and two touchdowns receiving over 13 games in 2013, but his impact was felt most in the return game. He returned 20 punts for 256 yards and a touchdown, and 28 kickoffs for 857 yards. Twice, in Week 1 and Week 6, Harris was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

The only other Cowboys to earn that honor twice in a season are former kickers Chris Boniol and Billy Cundiff.

Harris missed three games during the season with a hamstring issue.
