Dez, Dwight Howard Team Up … on Call of Duty

Dez Bryant and Dwight Howard teamed up for a Major League Gaming All-Star event last week in Anaheim

A delegation from the Dallas Mavericks are scheduled to meet with and woo free agent center Dwight Howard on Wednesday, but the city’s courting of the man they call (or used to call) Superman, might have gotten an informal head-start last week in Anaheim when Cowboys’ receiver Dez Bryant teamed with Howard for a Major League Gaming All-Star event.

In what equates to a video game version of a pro-am golf tournament, Bryant and Howard teamed with professional gamers Chris Puckett and Faze Temperrr to defeat a team comprised of Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson, San Antonio Spurs forward DeJuan Blair and pro gamers Hector Rodriguez and Syndicate in “Call of Duty.”

Bryant is a huge fan of basketball and of the Mavericks, of course, so we wouldn’t be shocked if, during their game, he didn’t take some time to try to put a bug in Howard’s ear.
