Dez Bryant Says He's Playing Against Pittsburgh

Bryant suffered a fractured finger in the win over the Bengals

If Jerry Jones meant it when he said that the team would let Dez Bryant decide whether or not to play with a fractured index finger, Bryant will be on the field Sunday as the Pittsburgh Steelers visit JerryWorld.

Only thing y’all need to know is I’m playing,” Bryant said Thursday, per the Dallas Morning News.

Bryant did practice on Thursday, and was encouraged by how the finger responded while wrapped in a padded white glove.

“I took some reps today,” Bryant said. “I took quite a few.”

There’s no question as to whether Bryant’s finger needs surgery--it does. It’s just a matter of when. The question this week was, if Bryant does play with the fracture, could it lead to more significant damage? We’d imagine that if that was a possibility, Dallas would think twice before sending the third-year receiver out there.
