In a radio interview on Tuesday morning, Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones was optimistic about the possibility that Dez Bryant could return from his broken foot on Sunday, while saying he would play as soon as he could push off of and cut on the surgically repaired foot.
Basically, Jones indicated, Bryant would have to practice in order to play.
Which would make Wednesday a pretty good sign that we might have another week of waiting where Bryant is concerned.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told reporters that Bryant would not practice on Wednesday, but would work off to the side with trainers, as he did last week.
As much as the Cowboys want Bryant back on the field, they’re also not about to rush the return of a player who got his big pay day just months ago, and who many believe is the heart of the locker room.
