Dez Bryant Agrees to Cowboys Contract

The Dallas Cowboys announced Thursday they had come to an agreement on a contract with rookie receiver Dez Bryant.

Details were expected to be released during a Thursday evening news conference at the Cowboys headquarters in Valley Ranch.

Bryant was selected as the 24th pick in the first round of the National Football League draft last April.

In 28 games over his three-year college career, Bryant had 147 catches for 2,425 yards (16.5 avg.) and 29 touchdowns.

Bryant's stock dropped after he was suspended most of the 2009 Oklahoma State season by the NCAA for lying about having dinner with former Dallas Cowboys player Deion Sanders.

Bryant came to terms as the Cowboys prepare to begin their first training camp workouts in San Antonio on Saturday.
