DeMarcus Ware, Wife Welcome Birth of DeMarcus Jr.

DeMarcus Ware had a half a sack in Sunday’s 35-19 victory over the Detroit Lions, but his greatest triumph this weekend, by a great margin, in fact, came on Saturday, as he and wife Taniqua welcomed the birth of DeMarcus, Jr., their first son.

Ware dedicated the half sack to his son, adding, "I've got to get him some more next week.”

To be sure, the Wares have good reason for exultation. They struggled through two miscarriages, and the stillbirth of their son, Omar, in 2006. The couple are also parents to an adopted son, Bryce, and an adopted daughter, Marley.

"It's just a blessing," Ware said, per the Dallas Morning News. "Sometimes in life if you fight through things and have faith the best has happened. It's awesome. For people who have kids and have seen the the birthing process its unimaginable and it's a great thing."

"I don't think it's weighed on us at all," Ware said. "Things happen for a reason. You just have to push forward through what's happened and that's how me and my wife live our lives."
