Dallas Claims DE Geathers, Cuts Clark

The Dallas Cowboys claimed defensive end Clifton Geathers off of waivers on Wednesday from the Seattle Seahawks, and cut defensive end Jeremy Clark, who spent a little less than a month with the team, making three tackles in that time.

A South Carolina product, Geathers was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, before falling victim to the team’s final round of cuts. He was picked up by the Miami Dolphins, and played one game for them before being dropped to the practice squad, and a few weeks later.

The Seahawks signed Geathers on November 27, and released him on Tuesday. He was then quickly claimed by Dallas.

At 6-foot-7 and 300 pounds, Geathers is known as a very raw, but physically gifted and naturally talented player.
