The Dallas Cowboys signed one linebacker and two offensive linemen to futures contracts on Wednesday.
Linebacker Jerrell Harris, offensive tackle Justin Renfrow and offensive guard Jared Smith were the lucky three, and while all of them have spent a lot of time in the league, none of whom have been active for a single game.
In 2012 Harris went undrafted out of Alabama, where he won two National Championships under Nick Saban, and he's been a journeyman ever since. He spent time with the Falcons, Jaguars, Patriots and Raiders in that rookie season alone. In 2013, he spent time with the Raiders, the Chargers, and the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League.
Harris then had a stop with the Broncos in 2014 before moving onto the Lions. He was released by Detroit way back in August.
Renfrow has spent time with the Cardinals, Packers, Seahawks and 49ers since going undrafted in 2014 out of Miami. Smith has split in his three-year career between the practice squads of the Seahawks and the Falcons.
