Cowboys' RB Plan Now Made For Them

Not sure what the Cowboys were thinking in terms of their projected upgrade at running back this offseason, but I know what I was thinking.

In an ideal world, the Cowboys could've brought in any number of free agent backs while pushing the oft-injured Darren McFadden back on the depth chart after a great 2015 season that we pretty much know will never happen again.

Now, they're all off the market in one swoop.

Chris Ivory? Jaguars. Lamar Miller? Texans. Matt Forte? Jets. Doug Martin? Re-signed with the Bucs.

Just like that, they're all gone.

Now, you're seeing reports out there that the Cowboys are interested in Bilal Powell. Awesome. But is he any better than McFadden? No is the answer.

The Cowboys have to upgrade at running back, not because McFadden was a disaster but because we know his great 2015 season isn't going to happen again. Now, it's going to be pretty hard to upgrade unless they take a running back highly in the draft.
