Cowboys Preparing For Reunion With Tashard Choice

Redskins’ head coach Mike Shanahan has been noncommittal as to whether Tashard Choice will get his first carries as a member of the Redskins against his old team and new rival, the Dallas Cowboys, but there’s little doubt in either locker room that he will be ready if called upon.

Choice did not see any action in his first game with Washington last week, as he continued to recover from a hamstring injury suffered while still in Dallas. He reportedly practiced in full on Wednesday and is listed as probable for Sunday’s match-up. This doesn’t mean he’ll play of course, but it looks like he’ll be ready.

In fact, Choice’s fellow Cowboy-turned-Redskin, Stephen Bowen, is sure of it.

He’s going to be ready,” Bowen said, per ESPN Dallas. “He’s definitely going to be ready. I’m not going to say too much on his part. I know he’ll be ready.”

The Cowboys’ Bradie James, meanwhile, wouldn’t be surprised if the Cowboys weren’t suddenly on the other side of Choice’s infamous habit of trash-talking this Sunday.

“Of course,” James said. “As soon as he left and signed there I’m sure he circled this one. He’ll be ready. We’ll be ready.”
