Cowboys Players Support, Stand Along Side Dallas Police Department

The Cowboys stood in unity to support Dallas police officers

The Cowboys players immediately got on board immediately when they heard the idea over a week ago.

On Saturday, they were honored and privileged to walk out on to the field for the first training camp practice in locked arms with Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, Dallas Police Chief David Brown and family members of the officers who died in the downtown shootings on July 7.

Jason Witten led the movement as he was inspired by how Brown and Rawlings held the city together following the shootings. This was a tribute to them and the four Dallas PD police officers and one DART police officer who died.

Many players talked about how sports can bring a community together, and this symbolized that notion. The Cowboys are wearing decal stickers on the back of their helmets that read "Arm And Arm" to represent Dallas police officers.
