Cowboys Looking at FA Guard Brian Waters

Waters is a former Patriot and Chief with a Pro Bowl resume

In their ongoing efforts to shore up the offensive line, the Dallas Cowboys have taken a serious interest in former Patriots and Chiefs guard Brian Waters, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. According to Schefter, the team has been looking at Waters for some time now, and he is their top choice of all the free agent guards out there.

Earlier in the week, the team came to a verbal agreement with veteran tackle Brandon Moore, formerly of the New York Jets, but the day after that, Moore suddenly decided against signing the deal. He told team officials the change of heart was motivated by his desire to spend more time with his family.

A former Pro Bowler, Waters is open to returning to the league as a member of the Cowboys, but only if the numbers are right.
