Cowboys Leave Five Veterans In Dallas

The Cowboys left five veterans in Dallas when they departed for Miami on Wednesday, a list that includes Miles Austin, Terence Newman, Tashard Choice, Bradie James and Kyle Kosier, according to the team's official website.

Of course, as Thursday represents the preseason finale, none of these guys would’ve played much, if at all.

As such, none of the names on this list comes as any great surprise, except for maybe Choice, who only made his preseason debut last week, and who said he hoped to get some carries against the Dolphins on Thursday night in order to “get back into that rhythm.”

Instead, Choice will watch the preseason finale from home as he continues to nurse a nagging knee injury, as will Austin (hamstring), Newman (groin), James (foot) and Kosier (back).
