Cowboys Lead Jets At Half, 10-7

After a hard-fought 30 minutes of football at MetLife Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys lead the hosting New York Jets, 10-7.

The Cowboys opened up the scoring on their opening drive with a three yard touchdown pass from Tony Romo to Dez Bryant. Dan Bailey added a 34-yard field goal early in the second quarter to extend the Dallas lead to 10-0.

Like the offense, Dallas’ defense got off to a quick start, forcing the Jets’ offense into a three-and-out on their first drive, and keeping the home team off the scoreboard until the waning moments of the first half.

With just 37 seconds remaining until intermission, Mark Sanchez hit Dustin Keller for a four-yard touchdown pass to draw the New York deficit to three, at 10-7, where we stand at half.

The Cowboys’ offensive line has shown its youth somewhat, allowing three sacks of Romo in the first half. On the other side, Dallas’s DeMarcus Ware has come out blazing, recording two sacks thus far.
