Cowboys Lead Eagles at Half, 21-10

The winner of this game will take possession of the NFC East lead

After 30 minutes of football in Philadelphia, the Cowboys lead the Eagles, 21-10.

The Cowboys came out hot, recovering Dan Bailey’s opening kickoff after some confusion among the Eagles’ return team allowed the kick to bounce untouched until it was recovered by Dallas’s CJ Spillman. Five plays later, DeMarco Murray cashed in on the break with a one-yard touchdown run. Murray finished the half with 47 yards on 14 carries.

The Cowboys extended their early lead as Tony Romo hit Dez Bryant on touchdown passes of four and 26 yards to give Dallas the 21-0 lead. Romo finished the half 14 of 20 passing for 151 yards and the two touchdowns.

Philly came to life midway through the second quarter with an 11-play, 84-yard drive, capped by a five-yard run from Chris Polk. Eagles kicker Connor Parkey added a 47-yard field goal with under two minutes to close the gap to 21-10.

The Cowboys will receive the kick to open the second half.
