Cowboys Lead Eagles At Half, 10-7

Michael Vick will reportedly miss the second half after suffering a concussion

After a half of football, the Dallas Cowboys are leading the Eagles in Philadelphia, and it appears as though Eagles’ starting quarterback is done for the day with a concussion.

Following the kickoff, the Eagles marched straight down the field to open up the scoring in this one, with an 81-yard drive that took just about five minutes off the clock before Vick hit Riley Cooper for a two-yard touchdown pass. Just like that, Philly led 7-0.

The Cowboys would answer before the quarter was out, however, responding immediately with a touchdown drive of their own. Felix Jones, who has put together a rather nice first half, capped the 80-yard drive with an 11-yard touchdown run. He finished the first half with 47 yards on 7 carries. Lance Dunbar added 21 yards on 5 carries, and fullback Lawrence Vickers took his lone carry of the half for 13 yards.

Dan Bailey hit on a 30-yard field goal to give the Cowboys the lead at 10-7 in the second quarter, which is where we stand at half.

Perhaps the biggest development of the first half, though, was the concussion suffered by Vick. Nick Foles has since taken over under center for Philadelphia, and Vick will reportedly not return.
